The Southern Churn – it’s where sweet dreams are taken seriously!

One of the most popular spots in Downtown Bristol, the locally owned and operated shop serves up decadently delicious homemade fudge, ice cream, and candy. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, The Southern Churn is a dessert-lovers haven.

Let’s start with the fudge, which is made on-site. This is not just your average run-of-the-mill fudge. Not by a long shot. Southern Churn makes its fudge the old-fashioned way, churning it in a kettle with lots of butter and real cream.

And they don’t just make plain old chocolate fudge either (although they do have it). There are fudge flavors galore. Some of the most popular include Snickers, Butterfinger, Tiger Butter, Rocky Road, Chocolate Pecan, Chewy Praline, Almond Joy, Sea Salt Caramel, Maple, Butter Pecan, Peanut Butter, Chocolate Caramel Peanut, Chocolate, Dark Chocolate Sea Salt… and that’s not all. There are also specialty and seasonal flavors, like Mountain Dew, Red Velvet, Banana Nut Bread, Root Beer Float, Pumpkin Spice, and Caramel Coconut Delight.

How incredibly good is Southern Churn’s fudge? They make the fudge sold at Hard Rock Casinos in Bristol, Florida, Ohio, and Indiana.

If you can tear yourself away from the fudge, there are 26 flavors of mouth-watering, hand-dipped ice creams to agonize over. And while the cones are beyond tasty, Southern Churn also creates some other pretty incredible ice cream goodies, like the Cookie Dough, Oreo Super Fudge or Mint Chip milkshakes, Root Beer Floats, and Banana Splits.

If you’re craving even more chocolate, Southern Churn also features Abhallah Candies, which has been serving up these yummy morsels for four generations. These fine candies are made using small-batch candy-making techniques and created in some of the company’s original copper kettles.

Southern Churn also carries a variety of old-fashioned candy, like Sugar Daddies, Hot Tamales, Charleston Chews, Gobstoppers, Goo Goo Clusters, Pop Rocks, Jelly Beans, and many more.  And if you’re looking for toys or souvenirs – or vintage sodas like Nehi Orange and Sun Drop – you can find a great selection of all three!

When it comes to treating your taste buds, it just doesn’t get any sweeter than Southern Churn! Do yourself a favor (or is it flavor?) and enjoy some of the Churn’s yummy goodness on your next Bristol visit!
